In New England, grassland birds like Bobolinks and Meadowlarks use hayfields and pastures during the breeding season, but their populations have been significantly declining in the last 30 years. Graduate student Jamie Sydoriak has initiated an outreach program in the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire to help landowners learn more about these birds and their habitat needs.
